A Sense of Care A review of InterContinental Suites Hotel Cleveland
Like many others, I stayed a the InterContinental Stuites Cleveland due to its immediate proximity to the Cleveland Clinic. Hands down, this is a nice hotel. The staff seems to be mostly European hotel students intermingled with locals and everyone is most accommodating...especially at the Front Desk. My suite was very attractive and fresh, the only two downpoints being 1. The hotel was less than half full, but I was given the worst location in the property, on the second floor right above the porte-cochere and 2. I could hear a baby crying all night...the sound carried through the heat vent. Forget it when it comes to food and beverage. The room service is very limited and very expensive. A piece of mediocre cheesecake and a pot of tear came to $28.00!!! I have worked in the hotel business most of my life. Considering that this hotel is not in the safest of locations for walking at night, some form of reasonable food service should be available. Bottomn line, I have to go back to Cleveland in a month and I will be trying another hotel.
