A romantic place to stay A review of Crater Lake Lodge
We stayed at the Crater Lake Lodge for the first two nights of our honeymoon. We booked at least 7 months in advance, and were able to book a premium lakeview room for only one night (thus we were told we would have to switch rooms on the second day). When we arrived, the manager had been able to rebook us into a premium lake view room for two nights, which was a wonderful surprise. The lodge is charming and old-fashioned. Don't expect modern features, so arrive in the mood to travel as they did in years gone by. Our room was clean and quite (we were at the end of the hall). Our view was a little disappointing because our dormer windows gave us a restricted view of the lake because of trees growing up from below. I loved hanging out in the lodge foyer in front of the massive fireplace, and just watching the sun set and admiring the amazing lake while sipping wine on the patio.
