A Really Wonderful B&B !!!! A review of Parsonage Inn
We visited St. Michael's for the first time in early October 2006. We were lucky enough to have great weather for our two day visit, but the accomodations and people at The Parsonage Inn made our visit extra special.
After doing some investigating on-line, we were attracted to the Parsonage Inn by the "Chesepeake Experience" package that they offer. This included a two night stay (with two breakfasts), two tickets to the Maritime Museum, $40 off dinner at the Chesepeake Landing restaurant (great seafood meal) and the highlight, a skipjack sail!!!
When we made the reservation, I wasn't sure what a skipjack was. It's a 49-person sailboat which was used for oystering which is now classified as a national landmark. We went on a 5:00pm 2-hour sunset sail which was just perfect. It's a fun "working" sail filled with interesting stories from Captain Wade aboard the Rebecca T. Ruark....really an experience not to be missed.
We were able to choose our room at the Parsonage Inn because there weren't many people there during our visit. We had a beautiful room with a comfy king size bed and a TV (not available in all rooms). Another nice feature here was the off-street parking and a private entrance to our room. We had two great breakfasts, one of which was the Innkeeper's specialty, a breakfast pudding. The Inn is located on the edge of town which made for a convenient walk to the shops and a very quiet atmosphere at night.
The Innkeepers, Bonnie and Joe, were very pleasant, as was Donna who made the breakfasts during our visit. Donna was also very helpful with tips on how to plan our stay, directions home, etc.
All in all, this was a very nice getaway for us. The Parsonage Inn is a great place to stay. We highly recommend this B and B in St. Michael's MD. We had an asbolutely wonderful time!!!!
