A pleasant experience A review of Mondrian Los Angeles Hotel

I stayed at the Mondrian three nights in Jan. 03. After checking in, the bellman introduced me to the Mondrian's general manager who welcomed me to the hotel. I had a comfortable suite w/pool view. Nicely stocked kitchen area---much more elaborate than your standard hotel mini bar.The hostess at the Mondrian's Asia de Cuba was so friendly and personable. I sat out by the pool----perfect weather and nice view. Food was excellent! (Try the tuna pica.)The concierge was helpful in giving me driving directions to a theater. My only negative comment would be the noise that came from Sky Bar at night. Even though I was 9 floors above it, it was quite loud until 2 am. I would stay at the Mondrian again, but I would request a room that didn't face Sky Bar (or Sunset Blvd. traffic).Notice the giant doors that stand out in front of the hotel.
