A Place TO Celebrate A review of Glendeven Inn
My wife and I just returned from a week split between the Mendocino Coast and Sonoma Valley. We spent three nights at Glendeven and didn't want to leave. It was one of the most inviting, comfortable and soothing places we have ever stayed. The fire each evening and feather topper on the beds guarantee a great nights sleep!
We stayed in Etta's Suite which had a beautiful view of the Pacific that you can enjoy from a small balcony. I agree with all of the positive comments from the other reviewers and I will add that you must start your morning with a walk along the beach or headlands. There are two trails just across the street from the Inn and we found that a great way to start the day and work up an appetite for breakfast.
There are numerous places to eat with a scenic view of the Pacific and the Innkeepers were helpful with suggestions. For a day time activity, we highly recommend renting a kayak or canoe at the nearby Stanford Inn. We spent three hours paddling the Big River and saw river otters and osprey. It was a great way to compliment our stay at Glendeven.
We found this place through a search on the web and I will say their website very accurately depcicts the property. If you like what you see online you will not be disappointed.
