A perfect inn A review of Olde Rhinebeck Inn
My husband and I love Rhinebeck, and we have stayed at several places there, but none compares to the incomparabale Olde Rhinebeck Inn. We first went for our one-year wedding anniversary, have been back a few months ago, and are choosing to spend our two-year anniversary there as well. It is easy to go on and on about the innkeeper Jonna, because she is a delight - a truly perfect innkeeper, seeming to have a sixth sense in knowing exactly what you want.
The inn is tucked away on a quiet ,beautiful winding street, and what I love about it is that it is not flashy, but all the details are thought out. Everything is beautiful without being too cutesy.
The house is full of old wooden beams, wonderful antique furniture, and all sorts of unexpected things, such as the collection of birdhouses and eggs in the Spirited Dove room , or the little collection of sheep on the stairwell. The bed in the Deerfield Suite is one of those that you want to burrow in forever.
You are greeted with fresh fruit, cookies, and flowers in your room, and there are thick bathrobes and excellent toiletries (i'm a dermatologist, so i really notice the toiletries!).
There is just something about the place that we fell in love with - What are you waiting for? Go!
