A Nice Place to Stay A review of The Whaler's Inn
Just got back from Mystic and our stay at the Whaler's Inn.
The inn is right next to the bridge in Downtown Mystic, so all the shops and restaurants are just outside your door. The staff was very helpful with our questions. They gave us good bars to go to that had live bands and called the Flood Tide restaurant to make dinner reservations for us.
The layout of rooms are different for each of the three Whaler Inn buildings. Our's was large and clean. The only downside was the very soft and uncomfortable bed. I would also recommend bringing your own shower soap and shampoo as the ones provided by the inn are not the best quality (makes your skin very dry).
The continental breakfast consisted of coffee and tea (nice selection), cereals, bagels (not freshly made, but still good quality), muffins, and other assorted danishes. Unfortunately, they serve it from 7 to 9, so for us we were rushing to make it. They do have enough for everyone because even though we may have been last, there were still some for us.
It is a short drive to the Aquarium and the attractions in that area.
Would recommend this inn if you are looking for a good place to stay in the middle of Downtown Mystic.
