A major disappointment A review of Days Inn Morro Bay
The hotel looks good in pictures but actually staying is ONE big, big disappointment! Well, the good things first: the grounds are well maintained (they have to or else they wont absolutely get anybody in there). Okay, so much for the good stuff. The room heater does not work at all. What you think would be the closet is actually the tiny bathroom - with a sliding door and all! The bathroom window opens to the hallway with you inside for everyone to see! You either shut the bathroom window and suck it all up or crack it open for a peep show. We finally demanded a room change and lo and behold, we were given a room at the back of the hotel that I suspect is the maid's quarters!!! No exaggerations, no kidding! You would know a standard hotel room by the way it is all arranged; but this room (Rm. 409) even has an unlocked door inside that leads to the boiler room/ heater tanks! This room was hastily converted to look like a hotel room. The sheets smelled like damp attic and so does the whole room. We could'nt sleep until 2 a.m. due to the smell!
