A Magical Night A review of The Tamarind Club
The Tamarind Club exceeded my expectations by a long shot. It wasn't much to look at from the driveway, but once we were up to the pool/bar/reception area, we felt like we were in a whole different world. The bar tender insisted that I put my luggage down, made us a welcome drink, and gave me the firmest handshake ever before showing us to our room. The atmosphere was conducive to the guests interacting around the pool and the swim-up bar. The restaurant served gourmet food, and, as we were there on a Wednesday, there was a band and dancing. We had the honeymoon suite, which contained a small refrigerator, a wicker cushioned couch set and a patio with a hammock. The room is more rustic than what you might expect in the USA, but this is usual for the BVI. The band could be heard from the room, as mentioned below, but we didn't feel this was a negative. Also, the owner told me to tell her if it was too loud. The pool was very deep, which you don't find much anymore. It was nice for diving. It was a perfect end to our week of sailing in the BVI.
