A little paradise A review of Bufflehead Cove Inn
The charming Bufflehead Cove Inn is nestled on a beautiful tidal river just minutes from the picturesgue town of Kennebunkport. Innkeepers Jim and Harriet Gott are absolutely delightful people who maintain a warm and friendly atmosphere and impecable accommodations. From the cosy River Room to the romantic Hideaway Suite, there are rooms to suit all tastes and budgets and over the past years we have stayed in all of them. Each morning a sumptuous breakfast is prepared by Jim then served with a beautiful smile by Harriet, and (weather permitting) it is often taken on the spacious porch overlooking the tidal river. We have watched ducks, cormorants and herons feeding there while we ate. If you are searching for that perfect beach, shop, or restaurant, Harriet is always available to advise guests, and in the surrounding area there is something for everyone, whether it's sunbathing, outlet shopping, reading and relaxing, fishing, or whale watching. We just spent six days at the Inn in a week of pouring rain and yet we never failed to find something to enjoy. We met some fascinating people from North America, England and Canada and made several new friends. The Bufflehead Cove Inn is indeed a little paradise, but I'm beginning to wish I hadn't told you about it so that there will always be a room there for me!
