A little gem! A review of Manhattan Centre Hotel
Stayed at the Rockefeller Center Hotel for my husbands 40th (between June 23 - June 28) so was a bit apprehensive about the hotel as it was fairly new and no reviews at the time of booking, however, I needn't of worried! We arrived quite late at night due to a horrendous shuttle journey from Newark Airport (took 2 hours!) but the staff were still friendly for checking in and were helpful.
Our room was on the 21st floor overlooking the Rockefeller Plaza so was a real bonus, the room itself isn't huge (but what is in New York) but the decor is cool (very like my own bedroom) and the bed and pillows were really comfy and for the first time in a long while actually slept on the first night. The room and bathroom were very clean but I did miss a bath though! There were chocolates in the room for our first night which was a nice touch.
There was a complimentary breakfast which made up for the fact that the hotel was only partially open at the time of opening - I was looking forward to eating at Johnny Utah's as well!
The location was absolutely fab - a very short walk to 5th Avenue and Central Park and Times Square/Macy's were all in walking distance too. It is very safe to walk about at night and the starbucks at Times Square is open 24hrs!
All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to return as it made our second trip to New York even more enjoyable so thank you all at Rockefeller Center Hotel!
