A Great Little Hotel A review of Blue Haven Hotel
We had a 3 night break at the Blue Haven and i must say i was impressed. The hotel itself was charming, a little bit of old worldy and a little bit of modern luxury. The room (One of the three top ones) was splendid, the bed was very comfortable, spa bath and other ammenities was very good.
On the down side, when i booked there was no mention of the massive road workings that was going on outside, which didnt spoil things just suprised us when we arrived. But the receptionist reduced our room rate for one of the nights as a away of an apology.... This was great as we hadnt even mentioned it...
I was dispointed with the restaurant, (We might have been unlucky) but there was a large group of loud golfers in who were placed in the middle of the restauarnt and seemed to trying to out do each other with how loud they got.... Not what i wanted when i was trying to have an intimate dinner with my wife for her birthday. Food was OK, but well worth trying all the other restaurants in Kinsale too.
Overall a very nice place, wonderful countryside, and i would recommend anyone to stay here (if you have the budget for it.....)
