A good deal at Cross Keys A review of Radisson Hotel at Cross Keys
My wife and I stayed at the Radisson at Cross Keys for two nights, December 10 and 11, 2004. We found the staff to be extremely pleasant and welcoming. The two people at the front desk at check-in were very personable and helpful. Our room on the fourth floor was well-appointed and clean. The bedroom was spacious and nicely furnished. The bathroom was small, but that was a minor point. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food was good, but was a little on the costly side. Cocktails can be especially costly -- $10.50 for an ordinary manhattan. Each time we encountered a hotel employee we were greeted and almost always asked if everything was all right. As we were leaving, everyone wished us well. Even the person sweeping the outside walkway wished us a safe trip home and said that she hoped we had a Merry Christmas. At the time I booked the room, the best rate I could get was $115 per night. Later, I went back to the Radisson website and noticed a senior citizens rate (for those 50 and older) for $85. I called the Radisson reservation number and they gave me the reduced rate. This reduced rate also promised an upgrade to the best room available at the time of check in. When I requested the upgrade, the desk clerk said she would be happy to check to see what was available and then gave me the choice of several rooms. Not knowing the difference in the rooms, she suggested a king room on the fourth floor. The free parking and shuttle service is a huge bonus. We will definitely stay here again.
