A first class escape to the beauty of West Virginia A review of Stonewall Resort
we spent four days at Stonewall at the end of August and cannot wait to return. Children, ages 9-18 and adults all had a wonderful time, enjoying the scenery, lake and abundant wildlife. The lodge is spacious, rooms are kept very clean and a great effort is made by the hotel staff to be of service. The only downfall of the resort is the food service at the lodge, expensive, sometimes poor in quality, and limited in selection. The alternative is the restaurant on the golf course, Lightburns - there service, selection and quality are excellent.
The spa is small but very pleasantly managed and you will find a full array of services in a very peaceful environment. Be sure to visit them.
THere is a very nice gift shop with beautiful WV items.
We look forward to our return.
