A Disappointment A review of Millennium Hotel Minneapolis
The standard hotel room is very small and the beds are doubles, not queen sized. I was told when I called initially that I could add a roll away bed to the room, but to make the request when we arrived. Upon arrival, I made the request and was told that it would be brought up immediately. When it did not arrive, I called the front desk, only to be told that I could not have a rollaway bed in the room as it was a fire hazard and the hotel would be fined. There was definitely a communication problem with the front desk. We were also told that children 2 and under ate the breakfast buffet for free, but when we ate there the next day, they were charged the same as any other child.
Another communication problem! The pool and location of it were a big disappointment-in the basement of the building. It looks like part of the parking garage. The pool is very small, there isn't a hot tub either. The building is clean overall-bedding is extremely uncomfortable-very itchy as if too much bleach has been used. Rooms are very hot and dry and the only way to cool room down was to open the window. Overall experience was not pleasant-we left a day early!
