A bit disappointing A review of Resort at Squaw Creek
We stayed at the resort in July, 2003. The room had one of the best views I have ever enjoyed from a hotel, and the kids liked the pool area, but all in all we left a bit disappointed. We brought our own mountain bikes, but were told the only bike storage was an outdoor bike rack! Rather than leave the bikes on the truck rack, we rolled them up to our room! I was very surprised that a resort of this caliber could not provide secure storage for them. A great many staff members were what can be termed as "snooty" or worse, "rude". The only friendly staff people were those at the concierge desk, which unfortunately usually sported a line at least one person deep. The concierge desk staff were quite helpful, and pointed us in the direction of some great outings, although they knew little or nothing about the truly wonderful trail system we discovered on our own just behind the resort. the pools were a bit cold for us, and the waterslide closed much too early in the evening.
