A BIG rip-off!!! A review of The Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City

Stayed only one day and had enough. Made reservation 3 weeks in advance and had confirmation in hand when I arrived at 2:55 in afternoon. Was told by front desk they did not have my reservation, but would find me a room. After 27 minutes of fiddeling around, two front desk employees told me no clean rooms were ready and would not be ready until 4:30. I asked what time was check in and they said: 3:00. I was forced to take a small room for $359.00 facing a large office building.

The mattress was soft as a marshmallow, the shower had no pressure and the bathroom exaust fan which ran all the time was like a jet engine. The tv picture was faint with color and I heard the people next door all night.

The restaurant was grossly overpriced, portions very small and at best worth 50% the cost.

When checking out, it took the front desk some 18 minutes to prepare my "one day stay" bill. After the 18 minutes had past, I told the man: "I couldn't waist more time with his lack of knowledge of the workings of the computer and would return in 15 minutes to retrieve the finished bill". When I returned to pick up the finished copy, he started to complete the bill and told me "He stopped working on the bill becuase his break was at that time" and I had to wait another 12 minutes before the bill was finished.
