4 Star - Exactly Correct A review of NH Atlanta

We stayed at the NH Atlanta in Early December 2004.

The Hotel is in a Very Good location. The Restaurant on Level 9 above all of the surrounding building is nice, even if it does face out the less interesting direction (Away from the Grand Place), so there is not a lot of note to look at. We travelled with 2 babies, yet even for a hotel of this size they only had 1 high chair!, which made things a little difficult. The breakfast was the usual fare for this standard of hotel, but the bonus being it was (Self) Served upto 11.00am.

The Hotel Room were smartly furnished, but on the slightly small size.

The Reception staff were friendly, but lacking in current tourist knowledge. We asked if the Atomium was open as we had heard it was being refurbished but they didn't even know that, and judging by the lack of interest by the receptionist she wasn't interested in finding out for us. (The tourist information centre later told us it is closed for refurbishment until january 2006).

All in all its 4 star rating is appropriate. A smart clean hotel but a little characterless.

In a Very Good location, but not upto the standards, or character of the Metropole Hotel (5 Star), just 50 yards away, where we stayed a couple of years ago. (We would have stayed there again but the metropole doesnt have its own parking and the Atlanta did @ 20euro's per night)
