4 night Stay in April 2004 A review of Omni William Penn Hotel

We had a wonderful time during our 4-day stay and have nothing to complain about. The hotel is very clean, safe, comfortable and ideally located in downtown. The property is a short 25-minute walk to "The Strip" or "Station Square". And Pittsburgh itself is a beautiful city with lots to do.

The staff was exceptional from the front desk to housekeeping, room service to the managers; they seemed to care about you personally. Everything we had requested was delivered without a problem.

Our junior suite was on the 16th floor and spacious. Included was a sitting area, desk, large marble bath, dressing area, power room and plenty of room for the crib, cot, refrigerator and play space. While some of the standard rooms can be small, the suites and junior suites provide lots of extra space.

The hotel was kid friendly. Since we our part of the Omni Guest Select Program, at no charge we were sent cookies and milk in the evening and orange and apple juice in the morning. There is also a Starbucks and bagel café located right in the hotel lobby. I just wish the property has a swimming pool.

The building itself is a made of classic red brick with a grand marble lobby and decorated ceiling. Everything was spotless and very well maintain. And the hotel really glowed in the evening in the general lighting and large chandeliers. The building is truly a masterpiece.

The Omni William Penn exceeded expectations to the point the service and accommodations were SUPERIOR to stays at the Philadelphia Four Seasons and the Jacksonville Ritz Carlton. This property has a unique old fashion beauty, and when combined with the incredible service and comfortable rooms, it makes it one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had on business or pleasure in more than 20 years of travels.

Lastly we were able to reserve this 4 star hotel on Priceline.com for $79 plus tax and fees, which was half off the hotel price of $160 per night. Even at $160 per night, the experience would have been worth the cost. We were able to be granted an upgrade to a junior suite because of our guest select membership.
