Absolutely no-one spoke English in Dong Hoi... No-one! It was really tough but the beaches more than made up for it!

We stayed at a hotel where Drew quickly realised that, although the owners spoke no English, they appeared to be speaking German! Drew used his A-Level German to ask for a room and even negotiated on the price! Good work!

Hotel Problems in Dong Hoi - 10 & 11 January. Well, our train was a little late (only 15 to 20 minutes), but when we arrived at the station, we quickly knew that the Ke Bang Hotel rep was not there to meet us as we had been promised by e-mail. No problem, we got a taxi to the hotel and were met with a very surprised expression from the reception...

Sat outside the Train Station for 3 hours and still managed to miss the train. The lads had to come back and bring us to the overnight bus!
