... on the large restaurant windows, we
recounted our evening’s escapades, and Olga pulled out all her charm to get us
a late check out. The two of them headed out to the hot springs just outside
Sanya, and we headed up to catch up on some lost sleep, before we needed to
head to the train station.
At 4pm the bellboy called us up a cab, and
said the fee would be a flat 40 pounds. As the cabs sit waiting for a job,
... was pretty basic, with the only sit down restaurant shut down for construction
and maintenance. In the grocery store my search for diet coke, came up with
nothing still. The drink has not been on offer anywhere since our first day in
Beijing! They had coke zero, which has been quite easy to get, but the drink is
only available in sizes 550ml and smaller. While in the store, a woman
approached and asked us if we were the two gentleman staying in 1207 at ...
... we explored the pool. This was definitely one of the
best pools on a resort I have been to!! It was enormous. This lagoon pool had
several coves with built in Jacuzzi tubs, waterfalls, bridges to swim under,
swim up bar, water volley ball area, a sandy area, kids play area, and plants
and trees incorporated everywhere! Lovely, lovely and very relaxing!
There was also a
separate lap pool for serious swimmers-but ...
... However, traveling with Helen made this process immensely easier. Helen was able to tell them what I wanted. She was able to tell me what things they offered. She was able to tell them not to add things or to add more of certain things. Truly. Magical. Until we saw a cat in a cage. Yup, a cat. In a cage.
Traveling with a Chinese person meant that our taste buds were slightly different, our budget was definitely different and our comfort level ...
