Unexpected treat

We got the boat to Railay 20mins away and the beach was really nice with the cliffs all around. However it was full of fancy resorts so we went to Tonsai beach next to find cheaper accommodation. It was low tide so first impressions weren't to good when wading though mud with our big bags! Especially as we could still see how nice Railay beach was even with low tide, the fact we were ripped off by the boat from Railay to Tonsai (about two mins away) didn't help but we didn't ...

... down. So the four of us squeezed in the rather undersized cab and watched the busy world go by. This being the biggest island it had a lot of restaurants, stores, bars, tourist shops and even a movie theatre we were told. After our cab driver got lost twice for good reason we ended up in literally the middle of nowhere and not even on the beach. Haha pays for not having done my research. However, in all fairness it was a really nice place and it had a pool. So we all jumped ...

Ko Phi Phi Overview

A travel blog entry by boyandgirlmeets on Apr 03, 2014

Sam: With the risk of sounding old before my time, whilst Island hopping I was concerned about arriving at a place that reminded me off Magaluf/Kavos/Zante/Ibiza- plenty of drunk people staggering down the street, throwing up. I even saw a club rep pouring spirits into their eyes in an attempt to emulate Eye Ball Paul. I didn’t come to South East Asia to see that, but I found it. Ko Phi Phi is a party island. However, this island left its mark on me ...
