... which turned out to be really close to where we lived, and it was full of small but very wild monkeys that were not very shy at all! Another beautiful spot was Maya Bay, our last stop and it was also the set location for the Leonardo DiCaprio film "The Beach" however the weather was quite bad by the time we got there. ... from our guide... So it was perfect going at the pace we wanted. The Islands were beautiful and we literally sailed around stopping to snorkel and sunbathe at each one. I absolutely loved snorkelling! Once I'd got the hang of breathing properly I was fine. We saw lots of pretty fish that came really close and the coral... We made two stops for snorkelling on the route home, the first of which was truly memorable. I donned a lifejacket thus rendering the need for swimming, or any exertion, totally un-necessary and watched entranced as dozens of tiny highly coloured fish swam inches from my mask. We had parked ourselves directly over a reef and the amount of sea life was quite mesmerising.

... We were sat next to an English couple and got talking to them. They were from Manchester but the guy had been born in Swindon and once lived in Carterton...very random. The tour guide asked us if we wanted to see a magic trick. We all turned round to watch..she tipped out several hermit crabs which we watched run around.
