Unfortunately the pool area had been taken over by an extended French family with a noisy little girl. They were occupying all the sunbeds in the shade and so I stayed for a while and then retreated to the peace and quiet of my verandah.

By lunch time it was still raining but I decided to go for a walk anyway and set off along the mountain road with the intention of eating at Muan Lai Restaurant again. After lunch, begin elephant trekking through the tropical rainforest, explore nature, the abundant vegetation of bamboo, tree, rattan overhangs, lianas, swaying palms and tropical flora.
