the whole, a very relaxing non energetic day!
Now we are sitting on the balcony enjoying a lager having just finished
the evening trivia where we performed badly by our standards. Dave did well and
got all the colours on the Chilean flag correct. We won't mention the scrabble question and
how many points is K worth…….

... The Island itself is only 110 miles long and TWO miles wide at its widest point. At its narrowest point, the island is just 30 feet wide. It was very hot today with a nice warm breeze making it just about bearable! We saw several villages and stopped to see the government building and some churches too. I was able to paddle in the sea as I looked for shells to bring home. The water was lovely…crystal clear and warm. ...
... reach around the southern tip of Eleuthera, only 10nm away. Then we furled the genoa for the deep downwind run to Powell Point. Our plan was to unfurl the genoa again after making the gybe around Powell Point to the east for a close reach the final 9nm into Rock Sound on forecast decreasing wind strength. On the downwind leg the wind decreased to less than 15kts, so we shook out the reef in the main. We regretted this later on....

On securing our position on top deck his morning we got settled for a bit of sunbathing. 5 minutes in and the heavens opened, it thrashed it down. So we did what any sensible people would do. We got in the outdoor hot tub. It was ace. Sharon nearly killed a man, she got in one of the tubs and he was fast asleep. On Thanksgiving Day we stayed on the boat working on our TravelPod blog and biding our time waiting for the weather to improve. We deferred making a big meal until another time, despite having all the ingredients on hand.
