Hatchett Bay calls itself the Bahamas' most protected harbour.... Well isn't that kind of ironic?!?Mother Nature took out her frustrations on the only other boat in the harbour. Protected from wind and waves...yes. From lightning? Nope.

Since the lighting strike, we've become "good neighbours" with Mike. He's been doing a ton of work to his boat to recover from the strike (and fire) and move on. ...

Governor's Harbour was the prettiest and most picturesque harbour we've been to thus far.

We also were very happy to find a sports bar with satellite TV so that we could watch the World Cup. Bahamian cable was blocking the games - making them pay-per-view only.

We were in Rock Sound for the fireworks and celebrations. Interestingly enough, the party begins the night before so that they can have fireworks at midnight to welcome the 10th of July right from the start!

... ever found the underwater connection. The Ocean Hole follows the tides of the ocean and is filled with colourful ocean fish!

Had a lovely dinner with the crew of Agave, on our second night here, at a "new" waterfront restaurant. I had coconut curried shrimp which may very well have been the best meal I've had in a Bahamian restaurant to date!

Finally we did all of our errands and chores so that we are ready ...

... the way to fill our fridge and pantry. This will allow us to cook and eat in which is our preferred mode of vacationing. While driving along the Queen's highway, which runs the length of Eleuthera from North to South, we were treated to alternating views of the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea This afternoon Jim caught several medium size snappers from our dock. He cleaned and dressed them and we sauteed them in oilve oil and lemon pepper for a late- afternoon ...
