As we came down the mountain, we saw evidence of the fires that they have had this year. ... the capital of Nevada. Didn't have a lot to offer, nice old government buildings and a lot of desolation, scenery wise. Planning the rest of our route. Giving to go through Death Valley and not Yosemite, had enough mountains. Dinner at Lakeside Casino, just like a big Sports Club, with heaps of machines and a couple of small gaming rooms. I've heard the comparisons of Tahoe to Flathead and often wondered what the difference is, only to discover that the drive up the southeast side of LakeTahoe looks very similar to the drive around Flathead Lake. Tahoe South is a lot more commercial than any towns on Flathead, with its ...

... There were amazing geothermal things, geysers, steam pools and bubbling mud as far as the eye can see. There is also a huge couple of waterfalls and their own personal grand canyon. Through this park we saw bison/buffalo, even stuck in a buffalo jam. Bears - 4 of them, black and grizzly, no yogi though. Knew i should had taken my pick-a-nic basket with me. Just south of here is Grand Teton National Park, where we walked around Jenny ...
