Today, Friday, we had another great drive. We left Austin, Nevada by nine AM and had only about a hundred and fifty miles to travel. We moved lower and lower until now we're at about 4,400 above sea level. It's about seventy degrees here and feels great. Enroute we stopped at Petroglyph Site which was started by the Cattail People. The oldest petroglyph is about 8,000 years on up to 500 years ago. But, who's ...

... the capital of Nevada. Didn't have a lot to offer, nice old government buildings and a lot of desolation, scenery wise. Planning the rest of our route. Giving to go through Death Valley and not Yosemite, had enough mountains. Dinner at Lakeside Casino, just like a big Sports Club, with heaps of machines and a couple of small gaming rooms. The really big casinos here are Hurrahs and ...

... Only 1.30pm, so as our room wasn't ready, we did a run by the local tourist shopping area and then got a few groceries. As we are technically in Nevada by about 2 miles, there are 5 casinos between us and the California border. Might do steak and lobster for $15 there tomorrow night. Tonight though we are eating in again. Resort is fine, room to spread out again. Again no wifi without paying but computer at clubhouse for use. A bit ...
