    ... viewing facility.

    Next stop was Myakka lakes for a one night stop, with an airboat tour of the lake - lots of gators! We fed on gator stew for lunch - tip - it tastes like chicken.

    Heading southwards we stopped at an RV park in Naples for one night. This park is nearly deserted at this time of year, but come November the snowbirds come down from the north and open up their parked RVs. Basically it's a retirement village used ...

    We got lucky with the weather... It was supposed to rain a lot but so far, it has been pretty nice. We stayed in St. Petersburg for a night and are enjoying some beach/pool time in Naples.

    It's pretty hot and humid here and we decided to rent a cabin for a few nights... sleeping in the tent is not really a treat :)


    Are we having fun yet?? Florida wet season.

    ... palm branch on the road but it was 5 foot alligator going for a walk!

    Discovered multiple itchy bites on arms and legs. Obviously the tiny dot-like insect called a noseeme.(no see me!!!)

    Drove back up the length of the park in the rain then to Homestead to get the mobile phone fixed again - needed an alternative charger.

    Then to the other park entrance at Shark Valley. Its curious name comes from the river mouth on the Gulf Coast ...

    We all met at RSW Airport at 5:15 in the morning. Delegates were very tired but put on brave faces to begin their journey to Alaska! We checked in at the American Airlines counter and headed to security. We said our good byes to our parents and made it through security without any problems. Some of us got breakfast and we headed to our gate. We had a safe flight and our first time flyers did a wonderful job. Next, we were so lucky to spend 6 1/2 ours at the Dallas Fort ...
