... the pier (about a four foot drop!), we decided against it. When we were in Easter Island a week ago, I managed to take a spill while we exploring, and I have pulled a muscle in my calf, so I'm quite gimpy as I move about. I was afraid of doing further damage...I'm a chicken. But we're a long way away from civilization, so we elected to check out the island on our own, as most of the ship's passengers did.

We found treasures like floats from the pearl farms… good for anchoring, several hard hats… good for dressing up as one of the Village People, netting, rope, and shells.
