... view the lake, then leave. As we were driving back from the hike to head into town, we saw a sign for Grassi Lakes so we took the exit and made our way to the lake carpark. Rookie error. This hike was only 1.6 km there but gaining 300m in elevation. Our tired legs and hungry bodies just pounded the gravel to the lakes and did a round loop back to the car after we got some photos. I awoke to the sun in my eyes on yet another beautiful snow day. I got
rugged up in warm clothing and ate a huge breakfast preparing me for the big
day ahead. The time is eight o’clock, my tour bus was not arriving for another

... After a long flight it has been a welcome time of R & R. We were all welcomed and enjoyed a sumptuous Evening Tea Service at the exquisite Fairmont Empress Hotel following a short walk. Simon and Sue...did you stay here on your honeymoon. A fabulous position right on the Inner Harbour. We were surprised to hear that Victoria is the Capitol of British Columbia.
