Whistler and Vancouver beaches

After all the snow I returned from Banff to Vancouver after a horrid 15 hour bus trip due to closed streets with too much snow. Vancouver looked again like fall, sunny and nice foliage but no snow. So I made my way to Kitsilano and the beaches there which gives you a nice view over Vancouver downtown. The Marine driveway is also a nice walk along the beaches.

... the different mountains. The next day we did a little less exploring and just relaxed pool side at the hotel.

The pace of touring is now in the decline as we have reviewed our tour books and can either say we did it or "not interested". We have our first day of rain today since we got here. There is a nice fog over the ocean. I think there is a nap in the schedule today. ...

Working for the ski field as a liftie was the same. One thing. It was BORING AS HELL and cold as hell. But I met some of the greatest people and had an absolute blast 99% of the time. I decided I needed to quit my job (although, apparently I was fired), ...

... that can be associated with a bunch of 20-somethings living in Whistler with a lot of spare time up their sleeves....(!)

Here are some highlights/ must-do's we will share:

  • Getting up early for 'fresh tracks' on powder days is non-negotiable (an extra $18 gives you buffet breakfast on the mountain, followed by early access to the slopes, before the entire mountain is open to the public);
  • Do not buy your ski boots a size too big ...
