As planned we rendezvoused today with our new friends from Portland, Kristi and Chuck at a local Starbucks. My mother and father who were already in Palm Springs wanted to meet them and for a good 2 hours we chatted away, they filling us up about their home state Oregon - campgrounds, discussing lite subjects and we all got along well.

After our tour, we came back to the house and had a lovely dinner and lots of talking and catching up. Heather was one of the featured models in the local Palm Springs Magazine - which was quite an honor. She was in great company with Beverly Johnson, and Barbara Sinatra, too, and one other who escapes me.

We enjoyed an early dinner at the Fish Market at a table overlooking the Bay. We had a view of the Naval Base on Coronado Island, where they train the dolphins. Also, located on the base is a USN SEALS training facility.

We then headed to Ben & Jerry's for an ice cream, but Innes' warning had proven correct, it had been raining whilst we watched the film and was very wet, although still quite warm, certainly warm enough for Manny & Innes to get an ice cream.
