      As planned we rendezvoused today with our new friends from Portland, Kristi and Chuck at a local Starbucks. My mother and father who were already in Palm Springs wanted to meet them and for a good 2 hours we chatted away, they filling us up about their home state Oregon - campgrounds, discussing lite subjects and we all got along well.

      After our tour, we came back to the house and had a lovely dinner and lots of talking and catching up. Heather was one of the featured models in the local Palm Springs Magazine - which was quite an honor. She was in great company with Beverly Johnson, and Barbara Sinatra, too, and one other who escapes me.

      We enjoyed an early dinner at the Fish Market at a table overlooking the Bay. We had a view of the Naval Base on Coronado Island, where they train the dolphins. Also, located on the base is a USN SEALS training facility.

      Woke at 5am for our huge transfer. Left with little drama the del sol in Anaheim back to LAX to drop the car, steve dropped us at the Marriott LAX for the rv pick up and dropped the car, lucky no dramas with the car, was a bargain. $135 for the whole week. Steve got back in record time in a taxi and not long after the guy came to pick us up. Took a long time to do paperwork and we had to watch a DVD on what to do, cud not concentrate.. eep!       ... from last night for lunch then went to "The River" to watch Ice Age 4. Funny film that kept the kids entertained and allowed Dad to catch up on some sleep.
