    ... was only a 10 minute wait as opposed to a 50 minute wait without Fast Pass.

    Once we left Soarin we were tired, so instead of staying around until 9:00 to see the Illuminations show on the lake, we got on the monorail and headed back to the hotel.

    After some coffee and deserts in the Club lounge, we called ti a day.

    Once upon a time........ Teaser Alert Over.

    When Meg was 7 and James was 2 we went to Disneyland Paris so after 12 years we thought it was time we went back.

    I would have to say the rides were better in Paris however the staff and the organisation were far better here in America as you might expect.

    ... Studios we skipped ourselves straight on to Rock 'n Roll coaster, an epic roller coaster dropping you from 70 meters high whilst blaring your favourite song that you had selected. Went on to try: Transformers 3D a brand new virtual reality ride. Terminator slightly aged. ET no-ones favourite ride Simpsons another virtual reality ride left us all feeling very nauseous.     ... with six different lands – Main St, USA, Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. School has already gone back in the US so the majority of guests had children under five or were tourists from overseas like us. Heaps of Brazilians! We visited Fantasyland for a ride on "it's a small world", a gentle boat ride through toy animatronics representing different countries. This was a lovely ride although the song was mostly sung ...

    ... different to NYC with lots of open spaces...very grand and monumental. The Smithsonian museum of Air and Space was fascinating, as was the Capital Building and reflecting pool, the Washington Monument which has sustained some earthquake damage, so had scaffolding all around it. We passed a bronze sculpture called Angles of Mercy depicting three nurses and a wounded soldier from the Vietnam War. It was next to the war memorial, which was ...
