After a disturbed nights sleep (remember, the power, and lights, and television coming back on at 3 a.m. or thereabouts, we enjoyed just being able to sleep in. We got down to the quick service restaurant too late for breakfast - the menu changes at 11:00 am on the dot. (Disney remember). We had brunch by the pool, and generally lay around. We headed back to the room. We ended up sitting on the balcony, overlooking the giraffes, cranes, ...

... book your hotel. But hold it, there is an additional tab that says vacation packages. This gives you the current "featured" vacation offers. If you want something that is NOT on that menu, which by the way is generally as clear as mud, you need to call someone. My recommendation is to cut to the chase and just get on the phone with someone. I almost NEVER recommend this, but at Universal the small annoyance of having ...

    Fabulous Resort!!!

    from mi_sapphire

We stayed at the Blue Tree Resort at Lake Buena Vista on May 8, 2004 for a week. Our room was extremely nice, better than any pictures that I found on the web. It was modern, clean and had many ammenities. We got a 2 bedroom (master w/jacuzzi), 2 bath, full kitchen w/dishes etc., washer/dryer, dishwasher, icemaker, screened in patio etc. The resort's pools, game room, exercise room and the grounds were very well kept. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The only downside that I can think of is that they didn't have internet access, but we ended up getting a free AOL CD from a local store and used the local dial in number to connect.

    What a dump!

checked into blue tree LBV on 4/25/04. My first impression was a musty smell. I thought turning on the air would help , it didn't the musty smell was there to stay. The carpet was filthy, floors were filthy. Bathtubs ( both tubs) didn't drain very well and backed up. Air vents all rusted and mildewed. linens were old and worn. there were stains on the couch. Security? what security there was none and if there was we didn't see it. finally on our fourth nite the icing on the cake. I killed a 3 inch cockroach which had been crawling on my sons headboard while he was sleeping, that did it WE CHECKED OUT!!!!!!!!!!! I will never stay there ever again and wil never consider buying a time share!!!!!!

    Owner

    from anonymous

My wife and I are ex-pat's. We live in Taiwan. We have been an owner at the Blue Tree Resort for close to 12 years. Over the years we have come here 7 or 8 times and found it run very well. When we come we usually bring friends from Taiwan with us.

Over the last 2 years the old homeonwers assoc. has been getting poor mgmt service and been led in the wrong direction by the homeonwers leaders. to bad that I see this fighting between the old homeowners assoc and westgate. In any case those rank and file employees at Blue tree have always made us feal at home.

    Relaxing

We ued to own a week here and ever once had any problems. The staff was extremely wonderful! We have been here many times and absolutly loved every second.I wish we still had our time share but because of the exchange rates for the maintance fee we had to sell our time.We are very sad that we still don't own.We bought it on our Honeymoon and had 7 wounderful years there. The rooms were great and the pools inviting. The fitness room was also great. We used everything there that they had to offer. It was close to everything!Loved our walks.

If you have a chance to stay here please do so.Other resorts are also nice but are very busy and noisy. Our children also had a ball there. The wading pool was perfect for them. Please come to Blue Tree and let the experiance fill you with great memories.

    Bad service

    from anonymous

It is not like westgate lakes resort and spa, that we went to last year. we decided to try blue tree because it was cheaper then westgate lakes and though since it was a westgate, that it would be just as nice. well, we thought wrong. first thing was the air. right when we walked in it felt stuffy, muggy and the floor felt damp. we called for someone to fix it, and the man really didn't do much, b/c later on after we came back, the same problem again. even though it was 2 am no one was answering the phones, and it ended up we had to call a security man to take a look. Surprisingly, he found out the problem. So everything was going fine until the refrigerator started to leak from the freezer. we demanded another room b/c of all the problems one after the other. after a couple hours later, they decided to help by putting us in the room right next door, and had the same exact problems. My boyfriend called the front desk to tell them this and said we are just staying and we wanted something complimentary, and waited for a while for a supervisor to call back, which they never did. we are never going there again!

    Best Deal for Disney Vacation

    from anonymous

My husband and I stayed here in Oct. 2001 and loved it. It was a much better price than staying in Disney yet was so close to Disney we felt like we were staying in Disney. It really cut cost staying here also because with the kitchen we could cook some meals ourselves and didn't have to eat out all the time (Which helped since we had two kids 3 yrs and 2 yrs old). Also, the 2 bedroom deluxe was great because we didn't all have to sleep in the same room but we didn't have to purchace to different accomadations. Much more room to move around than in a hotel.

    Great!!

    Terrible

    No HOT WATER

    from mesmall

Stayed at The Blue Tree 11/02.Checked in to find no hot water.Staff said it was being fixed.10p.m. that night still no hot water. Was told it was fixed and just needed to heat up.Next morning,no hot water, was told other units were booked and I couldn,t move suites(not many cars in the parking lot).Went off to parks after heating water on the stove.Came back at 4pm.water was fixed but scalding hot and now we had no cold water!!!Still couldn't shower! Empty coke machines, empty laundry soap dispensers,a beautiful place but poorly operated.
