... were to me from my photos! We kept moving trying to get a good view and we hit the jackpot. The tiger sat up a little just as I had the perfect gap between the trees and I managed to get an amazing view of it. It looked right at me! The next morning, in order to buy a ticket I was told to be at the office at 5am but as I began the 2 mile walk a kind guy on a bike offered me a lift so I was first at the office by some way. It didn't open until 5:30 but by the time it ...

... You can only enter the park with an official guide aboard either a jeep that holds up to six or a canter, which holds maybe 20 people. Jeeps are more expensive, but have the advantage of being able to access more difficult terrain in the park. Since we are traveling on the shoulder, before the peak tourist season, we were fortunate enough to reserve jeep safaris on the two mornings we were staying here. Seeing a tiger is not guaranteed, and we knew this before coming ...

... We were going along through zone 2 and saw some monkeys, spotted deer, sambar deer and peacocks, same as the morning so still no confidence in seeing a tiger. But then it all kicked off and we saw a mongoose, a blue bull (antelope), a kingfisher, a crocodile and then came the big boy.... (well female version), it was a TIGER, doing some sunbathing in a nice open bit of grass so we had a perfect view, it was about 5 metres away from the truck and could've eaten anyone of us ...
