We are so lucky to have friends that invite us to ski at Waterville Valley. It's a really nice family focused resort about a 5 hour drive from New Canaan. The kids get on well and know the resort so well now that they ski or snow board together and then meet up with their slower parents at lunch or the end of the day.

Today is all about packing and feeling nostalgic for all that this fall foliage experience has meant to us. ... the base station of the Mt Washinton Cog Railway about 7pm. It was a bit dark driving through the mountains and we missed some of the sights but it was worth it. We took an alternate, shorter route. Dinner at Fabyans Station was economical and delish. By the way, did you know that Pac Man was the first game of its type?
