... windy with seaweed all over the beach. The village may remind me of Noosa but the beach couldn't be further from it. We were able to see the Bush home from where we stood. Amazing spot.
We looked in 9 million little gifty shops on our way to and from the beach, got some souvenirs & had a sensational BLT from a tiny cafe for lunch.
Spent the afternoon reading by the fire at the hotel then I had clam pasta in a spicy tomato sauce & Fray ...

Before we go onto the next part of the trip, a couple of things. I like the North American toilets better than ours. When I first came here over 20 years ago, I thought the toilet was broken because it was full of water. Crazy! The department stores are playing Christmas music. About 12.30am this morning, fast asleep when the frickin' fire alarm went off in the hotel. ****!!! People were in the corridor asking what to do, so Fray & I grabbed phones, ...

    ... Manchester.

It was lovely, a little like Gilmore Girls goes to the seaside. I met my host at the train station and we drove to her lovely house by the water. That afternoon I had a little walk around the point the house was on and went down to the beach that was about 100m away. I had a little nap that turned into 4 hours and woke up to the shock that I was due to leave for dinner in 20 minutes. I rushed to get ready and then met my host ...

... C home. The city was easy to navigate and we felt very comfortable exploring the city, however we certainly missed the warmer weather that Orlando had given us! After Washington D.C, we visited Gloucester where we saw the fisherman's memorial and found the names of those fishermen lost to the Perfect Storm in 1991 (as depicted in the Hollywood film). This was a wonderful chance to relax as Gloucester is a sleepy and relaxing fishing village. It used to have an ...

... be so exciting to witness such an exciting event in the Fall Rowing Calendar. As for the New Hampshire Championships, we raced extremely well considering that we have been rowing for a short amount of time together. I am really enjoying being apart of the Crew Team, I am making good friends and am enjoying the serenity and peacefulness I find whilst out on the water. I will miss Crew once I am home, and I will be looking to continue this in Rockhampton.

    Till next time!
