Well a very happy day we thought the port looked sunny and bright on the tv in our room. We arrived at the Great Outdoors for breakfast to find high winds and cooler temperatures. Our second Bahamian stop was in Freeport which, as the name suggests, has a lot to do with shopping and duty free. There were, again, a huge variety of excursions on offer ranging from adventure to luxury resort. The down side of this stop was that we got in early in the morning, 7AM, and leave at 3PM meaning 2:30 back on board. Early start today as we have a excursion booked today, a sailing snorkeling trip. We walk off the ship to our meeting area, and take a short 10 minutes bus trip to the departure area of Lacaya marina, we get on board a catamaran and sail off out to sea.......beautiful aqua blue quickly changes to deep dark blue, and the skipper informs us that it is 1,000ft deep here an excellent fishing area not far off ...

After our morning flight into Nassau we had to wait quite some time for the connection flight to Treasure Cay on Abaco. Due to a 'lack of airplanes' though we even had to wait some hours more. That's how we learned that the saying 'If you have time to spare, fly Bahamas Air' is indeed quite true ;-). Anyhow, by late afternoon they had managed to arrange for a small 14-seater to take us to Treasure Cay. Unfortunately, by that time we had missed the last ...
