Arrival and hit the MB trails
Left Hamiliton at 1130 and arrived in Taupo at 1330.
Booked in and hit the MB trails at Craters of the Moon.

Good day..
Caught up on sleep and a good lunch in Taupo and hit the trails at Craters of the Moon again this afternoon. Meet a friendly Kiwi called Tony who showed us around some the tracks for an hour or so. Hope to catch up with him later in the week.

I have to confess I whoosed out on a see-saw but got photo's of the other boys doing it.

What a Road Trip!!
This time we headed south and took a 2 day road trip to the central north island - this region had an amazing geographic diversity: plains, mountains, lakes, volcanoes, forests, farmland, beaches and a cold desert. Time was limited so we could not cover everything ....choices, oh so many choices!!!

Visiting Mt. Doom
From Bulls, we drove north towards Tongariro National Park. We first headed to the Whakapapa Ski Area, which was the scenery used for LOR Mordor. The scenery was fantastic, check out the pics!
