    ... 21st) we went to Byron Bay to go swimming. We took the surf board and I managed to catch a few waves but this little kid on a bogie board kept stealing my waves! We ended up sunbathing for a bit longer than we should have that day! When we left the beach, we went to the bakery to get lunch. I hadn't had bakery food for so long!!     ... Surfer's Paradise, I can now understand how the place got it's name. As a seasoned professional, I can now fully empathise with the millions of like-minded surfers before me, who just like myself graced the waves with such elegance. Next stop was Brisbane. Only about an hour further north, we took in the views of the Gold Coast as we continued up the Pacific Highway.
