... driver still wanted 45 lei. Hiro was fed up and threw 15 lei inside the taxi and yelled some choice words at the taxi driver. They stomped into the hotel without looking back. The taxi drove away.

Normally, they wouldn't make a stink about such little money but nobody likes to get cheated. I say they passed the Dave and Michelle's assertiveness training test.

... we moved on to our first of what would become many Eastern Orthodox churches, with lots of icons, and no pews. The country is about 85% Orthodox, with some Roman Catholics and protestants, and only a few Muslims.

It is just over a week since I left home and we have made it to the other side of Europe - I am Sat on a balcony in Constana, Romania overlooking the Black Sea. This place is lovely. In fact I have been really surprised by Romania as a whole. Each little town is very pretty with big white churches, lots of farm land and stunning mountains. The people are very kind and friendly and always attempt their best English with us. It is really hot here ...
