... skipping rope set alight, countless bars and DJs, and addictive music that persisted until the next afternoon. A living dream! (If that's what you're into of course).

The third night was for resting and getting my bruised rib cage seen to. A result of over-excerting and lazily carrying my bag pack on one arm and shoulder. Most people flee the island the day after the full moon party as the destruction and litter ...

... falling asleep for a couple of hours. That's when everything changed! We woke up to the shocking news that 2 Britons had been brutally murdered on the beach. The same beach we'd had cocktails on this morning, the same beach I'd sat and waited for Matty on and the same beach we'd then walked along earlier that day. I was with a girl from the Netherlands who has done my trip backwards, so was great to chat to her about it all. The dives were amazing, I swam next to a turtle!! Best moment of diving so far! That evening we went on a hunt for a tapas restaurant that a friend of a friend is the owner of, and once we found it we had a great meal and was so good to meet the ...

... main ones, Jens and Verity, are awesome! I think the success of your course depends so much on your instructors and how patient they are with you - so that was a bonus! Our last dive we had a videographer with us, so that evening over a few beers we sat and watched the video. I bought the video so will have to show you when I'm home - it's pretty cool! After we qualified we decided to do the advanced open water course. It's more practice, you learn a few ...
