... stuff when they aren't looking (didn't happen once during the whole trip). Buckets are demolished between groups, whereas some brave souls tackle the bucket of booze on their own. Sanit and Marty throw Sarah in the ocean, Matt goes awol and Marty inherits some random flip flops. Madness and fun has been had by all but tomorrow is snorkelling and no one fancies throwing up into their snorkel. A tactical retreat is made and we all go to bed... Covered in ...

... The road is just a narrow strip of concrete laid on the ground like pieces of ribbon, it bumps where the joins are. It follows the contours of the land exactly, with no effort to smooth out any undulations. It winds and turns and swoops and climbs, sometimes running down to a sandy cove then back up steep, steep inclines through the jungly edges. Less than 20 minutes and we're pulling up at Haad Yao Bayview Resort and Spa. We've gone a bit posh as this place is 25 ...

... around a little longer than usual this year and we frequently found ourselves trapped in restaurants, waiting for a break in the rain to make our way home on our scooters. Riding in the rain isn't as unpleasant as the thought of it, but we still preferred to let the rain pass first.
We were a 10 minute scooter ride to Haad Salad, a beach that had been recommended to me and it really was beautiful. Clear ...
