... Push hard, brake hard, look for cars, go wide, go again, ignore the drop off, zoom through villages occasionally looking at the breathtaking view. Nearly everyone wanted to do it again, some even if they could climb it again. Thursdays climb took us through green, waterfall decorated ravines, tunnels, coffee at the base of a massif, a climb up the massif and, for David & myself, a chance to visit the castle at Gourdon. Back in the town we were ...

... of his death to be displayed at the annual Nobel Prize ceremonies in Stockholm Sweden. Walking around the city it appears to have three quite differing and distinct characteristics. There is the really nice beach area with its broad boulevard and typically European beach scene with rows and rows of rentable umbrellas and beach chairs. Just back from the beach area there's the rather swanky looking main street / ...

... a little slow where we possibly only averaged 40kph as we climbed up, down and over the ranges from the Cinque Terre to finally meet up with a 130kph tollway. One of the most interesting points of this drive was that probably over half of it was underground via a fantastic network of tunnels, some over two kilometres in length. San Remo is located on the Italian coast not far from the French border and ...
