I got up early enough to beat the tour buses to the border, and went through a ridiculous, completely inefficient runaround at both sides of the border. The Nicaraguan side was extremely laissez faire, with no direction to guide those trying to leave, and making the whole process a scavenger hunt. Very different from the entrance process. At the costa Rican side it was a long wait for insurance (fair enough), but both ...
... We found out that we had the same anniversary but they decided to get it tattooed on their arms. The husband was a dare devil and did one of the runs upside down! There was also a gentleman around 65 years old with us and this was his 3rd time zip lining in this forest. He had the smarts to wear his own bike helmet with a camera attached to the top. swarming up my shoes, down my socks, up my pants, up the weed I ...
Today was very rainy. I took my usual morning walk out to
the river; I did not see any new birds but was able to confirm the species of
some of my previous sightings. Those elusive parrots are still stumping me,
they are so noisy and I can clearly see they are green…but do they have yellow
or orange chins? What colors are their shoulders? These small details are necessary
for a positive ID and I have yet to ...
