Our Last Day in Two Rivers

Our last day was pretty nice. The weather was a cool, breezy 60's and sunny. In the morning I rode my bike into town, over the new drawbridge, past the harbor, and by the beach, all in one big loop. Overall it probably adds about 12 miles to my total.

We visited some huge garden today. It's a large, well-kept grounds full of flowers. Beautiful!
Not leaving until the afternoon, we wanted to wait ...

Today I woke up to grandpa being gone. He came back in about 15 minutes with danish pastries! I had a cherry-cheesecake danish for breakfast and will have a blueberry one tomorrow. After breakfast, I rode to Point Beach and back. MY BIKE IS GETTING MORE USE THIS WEEK THAN I HAVE RIDDEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I've learned how to use the gears on my bike though... :\

Once again it is a beautiful day in Two Rivers. The weather here has been low 60's to mid 70's the whole time. I met my grandparents at the park (which is just at the end of the bike trail) for the family reunion.

Full Day #1 in Two Rivers Manitowoc and glad to be out of the car. Today was great. When I woke up I explored the bike trail. At first I took it 3 miles to Point Beach and 3 miles back. That took almost an hour and a half. By the time I got back we were going to meet Aunt Patty, Aunt Kaye and Uncle Jerry at Patty's tavern / bar, "the Waverly." From there we walked through Two Rivers, window shopping all the way. We stopped at the same stores ...

... from LaSalle to Two Rivers:

We started north on I-39 and got on state highway / toll road 51 in Rockford, IL. In Beloit, WI, we got onto I-43 (missing the turn the first time around :P). We got off of 43 in Elkhorn and got onto route 67. From there we got to 60, near Hartford. Then we headed East (almost within view of the lake) and got onto 57 near Grafton, then returned to 67 at Kiel. We followed that ...
