... scenery to Clear lake - another state park. Beautiful.

Today we passed lots of lodges and holiday places - lots of fishing here. We ended up on Lake Michigan at Point Beach state park. We had a lovely spot within walking distance of the beach. Too cold to swim as the wind was up and lots of waves. It is near Two Rivers - a lovely town.

... up big time and the organisers had laid lots of wood shavings down in an effort to dry it up! It hadn't worked though because the Dodge slipped and skidded about, but we got into line and headed for the entry! Once inside we saw a huge set up with over 500 vintage and steam tractors and a massive flea market where folk were selling bits and pieces, however the rain and the large crowd had churned the place into a quagmire and very soon our shoes were covered ...
... Patty got off work. After the gardens, we visited some marsh. It was a nice boardwalk through some very swampy wetlands. Some of it was actually forested dunes. It was a good walk. We saw some large pretty hawks nesting there too.
Uncle Jerry wound up in the hospital today. We're not sure for exactly what, but he was having pains in his armpit and back. We think he sprained a muscle. Good news, ...
... to the beach. We visited city beach or "Neshota Shore." It was about noon by the time we left for the beach. We stopped at the grocery store because we forgot sunscreen and aloe and both me and grandpa are pink. We met Kaye, Jerry, and Patty at the beach and all just sat there just enjoying the weather. ... was not very interesting to me. I didn't know anyone there, and everyone was (of course) either younger than 10 or older than 17. Grandma had fun, though, meeting many cousins and second cousins whom she never knew. I don't know if I included this in my previous blog but, Grandma's last remaining aunt passed away Friday morning. The funeral is wednesday and we are considering staying an extra night so we can go.
