... lot. It had a nice view of the beach and the price was right. The weather was in the 20`s and sunny. Watched some precociously athletic young girls in a gymnastics competition at the conference centre next door. They were spectacular. I can see why the U.S. does so well in the Olympics.

... which has left us with no water at all. No toilets, no water – we pee out the window at high speeds.
Tomorrow we are off to Destin to stay with friends in a lovely condo and find a plumber.

After the rain we took along walk on white sand beach & went into Destin to check it out. It was once a barrier island but with sea level changes, shifting sands & hurricanes it is now a peninsula. It calls itself the luckiest Fishing Village, I'm not sure it can be classed as a village any more but here certainly were lots of fishing boats in the harbour, it's hard to imagine it that busy. ... planned to do the same on Saturday morning but the wind shifted and increased so we decided to walk instead. We have been walking pretty reguarly 4-5 miles per day and this one was about 5.5 miles. The rain began shortly after our return and has not let up except for a few minutes here and there. Saturday I went out to refill water, and see another movie then got back early.

After a grueling five days of driving, it was time to find a nice campground and hang out for a few days. My plan was to stay at the state park on the beach near Destin. But the polar vortex spoiled things, so I found an RV park near Pensacola instead. The temperatures were in the 30's at night, and although it was only in the 50's during the day, at least it was sunny!
