We were on the road early this morning - 8:45 AM. Well early for me anyway. We both remember where we were and what we were doing fourteen tears ago today. Our prayers are still with others, our country, and for the future. We thank God for this day. Again, I am awed by the miles of windmills, like a farmer's crop blowing in the wind. As soon as we entered South Dakota, we noticed the speed limit that was 75 mph last year is now 80 ...

... person. The farm house blocks were the same, so well looked after, beautifully mowed lawns. Showcasing Iowa farmland and homesteads.

Now for just a few general observations about the journey so far:

          1. The people are genuinely really friendly and helpful.
          2. Petrol is cheaper $125.9 per Gal to $2.78 per Gallon. You have to pay before you pump.

A good day of food and fun

We met Lisa and Dave at Arnold's Perk. They have great coffee but no breakfast. So the next step was to go to the Family Diner in Spirit Lake. Great breakfast. The kids went over to Arnold's Park, while we took Izzie back to the coach. Dave brought over a few tacos from our favorite Taco John's for lunch. Then he brought over some Iowa pork chops (the thick ones), sweet corn (they looked good), and some caramel bread pudding for dinner. Prior to ...

          The Perfect Night with Izzie

A travel blog entry by noeljrblog on Jun 02, 2015

It was Date Night for Lisa and Dave. So Sheila and I spent the night at the condo and the kids had Date Night and spent the night at the trailer. This was their first time in a long time to sleep in. Sheila and I always hear the horror stories about being up all night with a crying baby. Regardless, we took our chances. Sheila and I took Izzie for a walk around the condo area. It was then feeding time and bath time. We got Izzie to bed about 9:00pm. By 10:30, Izzie ...

... Dave and I decided to go to Fosteria and do some shooting at the Apex shooting range. We shot a 38 caliber pistol. Dave smoked me in the target practice. It was a lot of fun.

Then we had the kids over for dinner. While we were cooking, Dave, Lisa, and Izzie headed over to the playground for some fun. For dinner, Dave and I ...
