Today we had to go by tender from the ship to the island. We had no trips planned so took a motorbike tuk-tuk to a beach on the far side of the island. A lovely beach with blue seas and local stalls. While we were there we saw five newly wedded couples having their photos taken on the beach. Apparently the beach is the 10th best beach in Asia and has ...

I'm thinking sex traffickers, I'm thinking drowned or murdered or lost. I ask if he has notified the police. No, he hasn't. We talk some more and the full story comes out. Andy is a local and has been living on Boracay for 42 years. His son is with his Filipina ex wife. She has taken the boy away, probably left the island.

Still not a good situation, but at least I can shove my heart back down my throat. It really doesn't belong in my ...

... her support didn't help and we ended up losing at home.

On the 23rd of October the exotic phase of our trip begins, and we take a long flight east. An hour to London airport, security checks, 12 hours in the air, 9 hours waiting in Hong Kong airport, then 3 more hours in the air, and we reach the Philippine island of Cebu.

The shuttle to the hotel takes us north through wreckage from ...

... that local rum gives you a slight headache? Well it does!

Did i eat a dead cat on the way home last night??? It tastes like it !

Smelling a bit fresher we decide to put the welcome gift from the Sohotel to good use!!

Had another wander to Bulabog beach to see if Chris was around, who wasn't. Picked up our new extended visas, and spent the last day in Boracay enjoying the best beach we have ever been to.

        Gonna miss this place....
