... de Bariloche San Carlos de Bariloche is the main city in the heart of PN Nahuel Huapi in Rio Negro province. Situated at the foothills of the Andes, which serve as a spine separating Argentina from nearby Chile, the surrounding area is full of volcanic peaks, mountains, lush beech forests and lakes. Lot's of them. Bariloche is a tremendously touristy town that is more of a domestic destination than an international tourist destination ...
Bariloche, Argentina chiapoeAnother beautiful sunny day in the lakes district. Today, I explored the town a bit in the morning. I got some groceries, changed some money, other mundane tasks like that. I also sampled a bit of the chocolate that the town has on offer. As a certifiable chocoholic, I have to give it two thumbs up. This afternoon, I went kayaking in the national park. Together with an Italian girl and a couple from Holland, we headed to a ...
Bariloche, Argentina segacs... hours after the reservation, it was gone... And no room in any bus for the next two days! I found myself stuck in El Calafate, doing nothing for two days, eating as little as possible as everything is deadly expensive, and re-reading Bruce Chatwin's "In Patagonia"... Giuliano and myself wanted to do the same trip: by road from El Calafate to Los Antiguos, next to the Chilean border, crossing over on a superb mountain road to reach Coyhaique in Chile, and then by boat rides and ...
Bariloche, Argentina terredeshommes... will now be heading down the famous Ruta 40, a mix of bumpy pavement and dirt road that stretches from Bariloche to Chalten along the eastside of the mighty Andes. The road will cover some 1000+ kms and leave us at the mountain paradise of southern Patagonia!
Bariloche, Argentina benandlindsey... was actually pleased that I was about to spend 26 hours on the thing! I even looked forward to the inevitable Denzel Washington/Will Smith films we were bound to be shown! The bus was empty which was nice as it meant that we could stretch out and have a two seats each. I managed to get a good night´s sleep although the standard of the food was dreadful. One ham and cheese sandwich and two chocolate biscuits! We had gotten used ...
San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina domcrean... I heard that excuse I would be semi-rich. Ok, well, I tried. I walk my bike down this sandy decline in order to get to the lake and I find a rock to sit on about 20 feet out in the lake and I just chill and let my sensory perceptions become overwhelmed. I talk to some American girl there who is chilling with her Argentinian boyfriend and they are both super cool but they would be a lot cooler if he wasn`t there as she is pretty decent even in a bikini (most ...
San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina merkdog4... opportunity to practice her Spanish (which is coming on fantastic by the way ... Jon). 2. On the second day we again took a bus, this time out to the Parque Municipal Llao-Lloa about 30km out of Bariloche. This was one of the most scenic places we´ve been to so far.We walked for a couple of hours through a forest to a lake. On the way we came upon an Argentine family who were crouched down and shushed us to keep quiet. All we could see was a small ...
San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina jonandfinola... s easy to imagine when everything is covered in snow and you sit by the fireplace eating kilos of chocolate... T.: Yes, here is where the dreams of a chocolate lover come true. It´s only 2 hours ago that I indulged the best chocolate and pralines that my tongue ever tasted. It was mouthwatering. Thanx for the piece of the Tiramisu bar, Rebecca. This was the best. R.: ...but it´s also great in summer here when geranias and ...
