Lagos was a walled town, so we entered by what was a gate, there were no walls left to speak of, but they had been built in the 14c. It was a lovely little place, again had shiny square cobbles and narrow streets and alley ways. Lots of tourist shops mixed with ordinary ones and bars cafés and restaurants . But joy, I found one of Anne's 'babies ears' We went to a Bistro in the evening, served by a lad from Ukraine who was studying and working hard. His whole family were here. The streets in Alvor are all the little square cobbles, that are shiny, they look lovely, but are treacherous when ...

... his return, Brad said there was a ferry leaving in 5 minutes so we hustled over to the ferry dock. Once there, we were told we need tickets and that the boat was leaving in one minute so off I ran off at warp speed to get the tickets and made it in the nick of time! I did get a high 5 from Brad upon my return. The 20 min crossing cost us 1,50 euro each. Once on the other side, we caught a cab as it was only 25 miles to Tavira our final stop for the day, also the bus ...
