First full day at Ventana Inn. Wonderful grounds. 1200 feet above the ocean with a 50ole view of the California coast line. Going on a nature walk in about 30 minutes.

The entire time we were on the bridge we were under the watchful eye of a security officer. Many in our tour asked questions of the bridge officer. It was fun and interesting to hear the answers. ... and stopped at many vistas to look out. At one, we saw a blue whale and a few humpback whales. The humpbacks breached a few times and it was neat seeing them do that, come out with their tails visible, flap their fins/pectoral slapping, and blow air through the blowholes. ... a unique town. Dinner was out at the Mission Ranch Restaurant, the ranch restored by former Carmel Mayor Clint Eastwood. We could watch sheep grazing while we dined on the patio, and see Carmel Bay in the distance ( Monastery Beach).
