... get one when we get home!! Back to LA and traffic is awful, quick phone call home (love FaceTime!) we head to another camera store. This time they have what Shane wants (tripod), quick drive through Hollywood and back towards the airport to say goodbye to our Jeep!! We then headed to our hotel - Trylon Hotel. ... the day was the best part of the coastal drive. We had some gorgeous views of the coast, especially along Big Sur. My favorite part was when we stopped and saw a ton of elephant seals and then stopped an hour later and saw a bunch of whales swimming and spurting out water. The setting couldn't have been more perfect for a Beat Era writer who wrote extensively about the peaceful beauty of Big Sur. The museum is just an old wooden house where anyone is welcome to sit on the porch and have tea or coffee, wander the garden, play ping pong, or peruse the books, records, and art within.
