... grass roofed huts in a truly romantic setting. It was so picturesque because of the green and yellow fields, the brown hut style guest houses, the blue grey rough mountain outcrops in the distance, palm trees in rows and the setting sun.

... and then to the hostel. An overview of Vang Vieng Vang Vieng was an enjoyable stay. It is full of foreigners and there are quite a few bars offering free drinks encouraging the drinking culture so there are some people acting a bit crazy. However it was easy to keep away from them. The tubing is really fun and you can take advantage of the free shots and games at the bars or just sail down the river and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
