    on full strength again cycle up the mountain to the hill tribe villages ace food up there brilliant ride back down 20 km of windyroad 1400 m getting coco nuts on the way love riding round on bike being nosy ten thousand hell angels in town ystdy big bikes everywhere hire shooter 2 quid a day mtb 1.50 a day mad eh everybike you want to hire is here …

    ... so we celebrate valentine's for the first time in about 38 years. aaah. The wedding party lay on a fire dancing display and fireworks and there's live music, so we have a good time.

    So although jet lag is still causing the nights to be long mostly sleepless voids (we were playing scrabble at 5am for goodness sake, and I bet the Scrabble Queen herself aka my Mum, cannot beat that!!), the days are soooo gooood...

    Managed to get up reasonably early, still finding ourselves aching from the aftermath of New Year's Eve party and drag ourselves to joe and Avrils place on mopeds for a massive English breakfast including a dodgy undercooked sausage, which later would come back to haunt Owain! We jumped on our bikes and made our way up to the north coast of the island from the south, stopping to see waterfalls, half built temples and skinny elephants chained ...

    So I'm about 5 days behind, due to lack of Internet and being busy with bits and pieces, mainly drinking and eating far too much. So Wednesday, was a day of doing very little, we were staying at Koh Samui still. After a fairly relaxed start to the morning we spent the rest of the day in and around the pool.     ... we would need a bike to get up and down the big hill which leads to the villa! He even had takeaway menus in the villa, one for english fish and chips which we tried one night! He also gave us a mobile phone with a thai SIM card in, so it was cheaper to contact him whilst we were there!
